Update 2: he died. Update 3: So many of you have come forward to console me and I’m so grateful to you all. This post has been somewhat therapeutic for me. The past month, especially the first 2 weeks, passed in a daze but I’m starting to recover. Thank you, Blind friends. As I’m typing this, my dad is dying from Covid19 and I’m across the globe incapable of helping him. He took a turn for the worse so fast and prognosis is really grim. 2020 was both a curse and a blessing. Hope 2021 is better. Sorry for the soppy post. Update: My dad is now out of the ICU and (very) slowly recovering a tiny bit every day. We are hopeful. Not out of danger yet though. Thank you, everyone!
Extremely sorry to hear this. Nothing you can do. Just pray for peace. I lost a good friend of mine to Covid a few days back.
Very sorry to hear that. Stay strong my friend.
Sorry to hear OP, hopefully he will recover soon 🙏
Sorry to hear that, hope for a positive turn of events for your father, OP
Very sorry :(
Sorry to hear that. Even if you were there it may have been difficult to be with him. I hope he recovers soon. Best wishes.
I’m so sorry.
Sorry to hear this, best wishes.
Just spoke with one of the doctors in his ward and he told me that my dad has a chance to recover but it will take months. Tbh, that’s all I’m asking for. No overnight miracles, just survival and a chance of eventual recovery. I feel like the good vibes from you folks are tipping the scale in my favor here. The previous doctor I talked to earlier today, pretty much wrote him off and told me to prep for the worst (she said it indirectly but that’s what it sounded like). Thank you, everyone.
All the best to your family and wishes for your father's recovery.
Your dad will be in my prayers tonight
So sorry to hear that. Sending positive vibes your way.
