My first day, I realized my new boss was toxic AF. That Friday I quit to pursue an offer from Google.

It was a staffing agency and we were required to be at the office at 7am SHARP which I didn’t know until my first day. This is the text I got my second day on the job. It we paying 55k in base, only 5k more than my previous role. Somehow by some “divine intervention” as Samuel L. Jackson would say, Google made me an offer that week too. For 105k. My friends and family didn’t even ask how my first week at the new job was going because they were so happy for me about Google. That Friday, I showed up to work 20 minutes late. Boss called me to his office, privately reprimanded me with a slideshow about professionalism, and sent me back to my desk. One hour later, I handed him my resignation notice. Again, this was a Friday and I started the job that Monday. The color of his face as it filled with blood was oh so satisfying. Current TC: 135k ETA: We we’re required to be in the office at 7am PST.
