I live in SF. My kid will start middle school next year and I'm debating whether to go for private school or to keep public with additional classes. For example, kid currently takes math classes at RSM and climbing classes in a climbing gym. Im considering adding programming classes next year. The public solution is probably cheaper but I'm worried about the quality of public ed in the US.

HOT TAKE: Unemployment numbers should be much higher
What is the rating of your public school? If it is a blue ribbon school, then that solves your problem. If it is not, just keep in mind that when you go to private school, all the friends are far away and you have to spend extra time to set up play dates.
The feeder school is 3/10 which is terrible. There's another one not too far away which is 7/10. Thanks for the advice
