YOE : 20 Offered level : M3 (Senior Manager) Base : 270K RSUs : 8K units per year ( price : 30 - 35 $ ?) Is it a good time to join Reddit? How are the revenue numbers looking for Reddit? Any chances of becoming IPO in next 3 - 4 years? current TC : 650K #engineering #reddit #offereval #M3
The product isn’t that great imo
I have a similar comp package to your offer. Given what I know, I would happily trade for a LinkedIn TC of 650k.
@$30 per share its lower than your current TC
Reddit has been trying to IPO for the past 5 years lol It’s too woke to make a profit as a corporation
🙄
woke? It's a barely moderated platform, with some pretty gnarly stuff, and hundreds of millions of anonymous users. It can get very nasty pretty fast.
Are you Sr SM at LinkedIn? Why go on same level and lower comp to pre IPO company that’s trying to IPO for years. Have some friends at Reddit. Can provide more info. DM me.
Op might be laid off at LinkedIn hence looking for any offer I guess
You may have interesting opportunities and a way to make a bigger impact at Reddit as it’s smaller. Remote is awesome though, and getting rarer. No one has a crystal ball (legally) but I doubt our stock will ever go as high to reach anywhere near your current TC. That’s just opinion. Use your best judgement in your research. If your main concern is TC then the decision is a no brainer as others have mentioned. Our risk of another layoff I’d say is inline with the industry. Not riskier, but not safer either.
I would go for Reddit if you value Remote and a good culture. For TC, maybe not. For learning and scope, also Reddit.
Hilarious, this is like 50% pay cut lol
The question is why are you even considering it?
Flop show Who accepts lower offer with paper money compared to higher liquid comp? Don’t accept unless you are in dire need of a job due to layoff or bad office politics
LinkedIn... could be
