How is google as a company to start career as a Product Manager?? Or would it be better to start career as a product manager in Pivotal (Cloud Foundry aka non-consulting) and then later transfer?
Google, obviously
Why? Given it is a successful company, there is very little innovation rn. Also, it does not seem that innovating 0 to 1 is much likely. Pivotal- a recent successful IPOed company w/ lot of room to grow
I agree that pivotal might be more fun and innovative. However, Google is still a name that will resonate through your career. Pivotal does not have that yet.
If you're interested in growth /mentorship, I do think pivotal will teach you really good best practices as a pm
Absolutely Google. The name cache is SO MUCH stronger, and the APM program is very well structured. Pivotal has a bit of a “cool new kid on the block” vibe, but frankly the product organization is a hot mess. Half of the leaders there have no idea what they’re doing or have never been in product before pivotal. Yes you’ll get to pair at Pivotal. And there’s he potential for “more impact”. But I’d absolutely recommend Google if you want to actually learn, in a structured environment, from someone who knows what the fuck they’re doing. That last bit is very hit or miss at Pivotal.

Is Israel getting bad PR the reason for banning tik tok?
You really want to be a PM of a product that takes 81.23 years to install ?
Why not? A 10x improvement would bring the install time down to 8 years. How about that for impact?
Sounds good to me.
