I have a Director of Design role that applied for. Company is Vertafore in CO. I was "chosen" to take a Congnitive Aptitude Assessment or CCAT. Also includes personality assessment test. What do you folks think of such processes? I haven't taken this a while. Are these still relevant? Is it worth going through these? Any other opinions? #tech
mental fitness tests?
Nonsense.

Huge red flag. Avoid.
Why is it a red flag?
Because it's a candidate's market and no smart company would do this and risk turning people away right off the bat. Also, it's discriminatory and potentially illegal.
Is this even legal?
Drug test, hybrid (under the guise of getting your ass in the office), and CCAT add to a pass from me. Pile that on top of a mess of product offerings, spaghetti code, and silos and just generally not a product org. Blech. Hard pass.
Voodoo.
