I'm a Mechanical engineer interviewing with a Medical device company that makes Catheters. I'm looking for guidance on books or other references learn about Catheter design and manufacturing.#health #healthcare #medicaldevice #medicaldevicemanufacturing #catheters #medtronic #abbott
I would look into different polymers as well. Pebax, Grilamid, PTFE, etc. Also, a decent understanding of statistical techniques for verification, sampling, validation, and process qualification would be helpful. I’d make sure to know about medical device design control as well. Some understanding of the V model and different design phases.
Wayne Taylor’s book on medical devices is a must have
That’s a favorite of mine as well
