4 YOE, 125k TC Feeling very underpaid, looking to move on to another brand name tech company I'm worried my resume doesnt convey a strong narrative that Ive heard recruiters look for - but I think it does convey a lot of technical skills - which is the part of marketing I tend to enjoy more Aiming for roles in growth marketing and marketing automation (or wherever the money is) imgur link: https://imgur.com/INupMOY #growth #marketing #resume
bruh u make more than i do
Think you are doing more than alright for a marketing position.
You know some SWE stuff, if you want to earn more and have the willingness to learn, change track. I don't know how old you are, and it will take some time, but your TC will increase in the long run. Not at first, but over time your previous experience can be a big advantage if you find the right company (e.g. developing of some marketing software).
Getting into marketing automation requires experience with the specific software suites: Pardot, Marketo, Eloqua, Hubspot or getting certified in one of them. It's very niche and super hot right now but difficult to enter into

I don’t think you are underpaid. I think it’s decent for marketing
My SWE friends at similar firms are making double to almost triple what I make (same age). I knew the gap between marketing and SWE was big but is it that big?
Yeah, the gap between engineers and everyone else is huge. It’s by design. You won’t find a “brand name” tech company (or any company) that pays junior marketers the same as SWEs.
