Optiver TC expectations
Currently beginning a loop with them. Curious if levels is generally accurate or if there is anything else I need to know? Current #TC 500-750k depending on the WSJ hit piece of the week
You can probably expect 800+, my friend makes that as an SWE
Is it in US?
Isn’t new grad already 500? Why wouldn’t an experienced ex-Meta make significantly more
Interesting, I had thought citadel/Optiver etc. are all now 400-500 new grad.
Outside hire without hft experience is most of the time a mediocre offer. You have at least a faang background. I don't think that we offer more than your current TC for the first year. Pay progression is very good if you deliver
Are you aware about the numbers in Netherlands office?
My offer was in 450-500 range. Didn’t end up taking it. They showed models were in 3 to 4 years my pay would be 600-1M. For folks outside of HTF, they want to see results before giving out the big bucks.
if you were to take a guess, how much would you think the TC would be at 10 YOE assuming you were putting minimal performance to keep your job
Is this in the US?
I would recommend folks steer clear of Optiver. They completely wasted my time & lacked professional courtesy in the process. I went through their entire process, about a month+ of time sunk, just for them to change their mind about location in the end.
What do you mean change location? I thought it's located in Chicago and there is no other office in US.
They have more than one US office location (which is the primary reason I started a loop with them in the first place)
