Does anyone know someone who works at Uptake? How is the company / is it all that it is hyped to be on the Glassdoor reviews?
They'll get acquired
Fast-growing analytics for heavy machinery. Probably going to hit 700+ people shortly.
I hear it's a little chaotic and that's to be expected for a company that's growing so quickly. They had 200ish employees less than 3 years ago. Culture shifts quickly when you hire that rapidly.
It's really a mixed bag of worms. I personally like it there, but you will find people who hate it. It really depends on where you end up internally. I started near the beginning as a very junior employee, and it was one of the better moves I made. A lot of the start up energy that was there in beginning has been lost to process and redundancy, but that is expected with the size. It's definitely a place I'd suggest working at but your experience will depend on what project you end up on and what level of position it is. Also fwiw most complaints and turnover come from non technical roles.
This is accurate
Never even heard of them. Who/what are they?
