Hi all, what do you think of the NVIDIA stock right now? Ok price is high ($900 to date), +88% YoY, P/E Ratio of 75+. However: long-term, AI will keep growing really strong, and Nvidia is in a good position to be the winner-takes-all of the hardware game. I'm in the AI space but not very familiar with all the infra/hardware current business wars, so I'd love the opinion of savvier people on the matter! So: is buying Nvidia now a good idea? What do you think? #personalfinance #stock #nvidia #stockexchange #trading #investing
buy low, sell high.
Assuming you're able to define what "low" is ;) Maybe it'll keep growing like it is right now for the next 3 years, in which case right now is "low" indeed :) Therefore my question.
Stock at all time high is not low
Great company, terrible stock.
I know, it sucks for ppl like me who has owned this terrible stock since 2017. Idiot.
Great for you as long as you sell. The question was if you should buy now and reiterate, great company, outrageous stock valuation.
For long term, yes. In short term, it may fluctuate a lot.
What if companies like Google and Microsoft build their own asic for AI?
Stock with such a high PE has all good news already priced into the stock. The chances of making a good return now are less. I prefer an Index fund. just look at what happened to Cisco and Oracle during dot com. It is easy to buy great companies at the wrong valuation. No doubts about AI, but to say NVIDIA continues to meets investors' expectations consistently over coming decades without fail(even a single quater) is quite less.
That’s what they said at $400 🥹
