NVIDIA virtual onsite feedback
Hello, I had virtual onsite with NVIDIA about 5 days ago but no word yet. Recruiter said generally the candidate is informed in a couple of days. Does this mean it’s a reject?
Interviewer is supposed to submit feedback within 24 hours and the panel meets mostly the next day to decide go/no-go. If it’s a no-go then I would assume recruiter should let you know. If we have more candidates in the pipeline and it was a go , I would assume recruiter would wait to let you know of the outcome. In any case, you should ping the recruiter.
Thanks for the inputs. I wanted to know the advantage or wisdom behind pinging the recruiter at this point (applies to any company interview) I am tempted a lot to check with recruiter but here is what is stopping me. Right now I am assuming it’s a “no-go”. If it was a “go” they would have gotten back by now (as recruiter mentioned the same thing as @cBcm32 said about deciding the next day itself and from the conversation it didn’t seem like more candidates were in pipeline) And if it’s a “no-go” then there is no point in checking as it is not going to change their decision. Secondly, by checking with recruiter I don’t want to portray myself as someone desperate for that job and/or I am unable to get any other offers. Also, don’t want them to remember my name that might effect future/other job opportunities at the company. Lastly, I’ve heard nvidia recruiters ghosting out after interviews if it’s a “no-go” ( — I see some such stories on blind too). Is it a norm there?
Hey don’t be anxious and there is nothing wrong in pinging the recruiter (you won’t be seen as desperate or anything, on the other hand what if the recruiter thinks you are not interested).
Nvidia is operating really team by team. Also, if one interviewer doesn't submit the feedback, it can get delayed long.
The process varies by team. Some managers don’t do a panel, some call one after a week. Sometimes the manager/interviewers went on vacation straight after or got busy with urgent issues. There could be internal candidates or concerns about getting hiring approval as bar is high now. All of that can delay the decision.

It varies by team ... Give it one more week and don't hesitate also to ping the recruiter . Recently joined Nvidia and I got the verbal offer offer 2 weeks after the on-site.

Ping the recruiter. They may be interviewing others or maybe waiting for feedback
