Facebook Data Scientist Interview
I did my onsite interview today. It was okay. I feel I’m average on product and sql problems. But I messed up the probability part. Anyone know how they score you? What’s the chance to still get in FB? Thanks!
I had my interview last year and could not convert it. But in my case I messed up my product round as well. The guy who took probability was very encouraging even though I was needing a lot of help.. but the product guy was very condescending.. it felt like right from the first minute he made a decision. I asked the probability guy if they use the distributions and other stuff a lot at work and he said there are very few people who really understand that kind of work in the team (his words, not mine). What questions were you asked?

What was the interview like? Were you tested on R/python as well?
Are fb probability questions similar to two sigma’s and the likes? Like finding expected values of different coin flips?

Just do the statistics ap material on Kha academy. You will clear the probability round
Did you ended up making it? Now looking back after the interview how would you prepare for the probability round?
