I live in a HCOL city in Germany (TC €110k with 46 vac days) but want to move to the UK in a year or two. I've looked at commodity firms like Vitol and Cargill and was wondering the TC for a senior SWE in London. Can't seem to find anything on Glass door since it's a bit niche
why would you want to move to uk?
Money, and I really like the vibe of London. I'm 25/m and it's been my dream to live there since I was a kid Not to mention I'm getting absolutely shafted by German taxes
why commodity trading firms
What TC are you looking for? There might be better options than commodity trading firms
130ish in London
Is 46 including public holidays?
Excluding. 46+public
Wow, never heard of anything close to that in London. Best I’ve seen is 30 days + public
Recommend you to stay where you are. London is really cut throat in trading
Cargill’s London presence post-COVID and Brexit isn’t what it once was. Lots of the traders are in Geneva.
Wth. 46 vacation days? Wow.
Yeah. One of the main reasons I took a 20k lower offer from a different firm. I value my free time way too much lol
