NYC: FinTech or Security as a SWE

As a SWE currently in the finance industry (doing more back office stuff) and someone who wants to most likely stay in finance, I'm thinking about either shifting into a front office/fintech role or role on the security team. I was wondering what some of the pros and cons of each area would be and if you had the choice, what would you choose? I had posted this in the finance topic too so sorry if you see it twice
