Companies that pay as much as meta
Joining Bloomberg (Team based in NYC), but will work remotely from Settle, WA (Till September 2021 as of right now). Would I paying NYC State + City taxes ? Since WA has no income tax. #tax
I think if your job is based in NYC then you might still need to pay non resident income taxes? But if you’re officially a remote employee then it would be based off your resident/work location
Talk to your recruiter or CPA?
Wouldn't pay NYC and state tax unless you travel there and are there for 14 days or more in the calendar year.
So I'm similar boat as you. I live in Texas and started working for NYC. I only pay taxes based on Texas. So no state tax. What's ur tc?
Your should file an SDSK when you start to ask. People on blind don’t know shit and you’ll get 3 different answers
You will pay NY state taxes and no city tax. I’ve worked in NYC and lived on CT, NY, and NJ.
Did you physically travel to NYC to do your work while living in those other states?
NY really doesn’t care if you’re there or not you’ll pay
I'm based in NYC but have been living in Georgia working remote. NY state tax is still taken out of my pay. will I have to pay GA taxes on top of those when I file my return?
I’m also confused!
Nope. You pay taxes based on where you live
Technically, where you work. If you work from home then they become the same thing
