https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/29/business/silicon-valley-tech-talent-mainstream-industries.html Anyone moving to tech jobs in "banking, retail, health care and manufacturing"? Companies mentioned in article: UnitedHealth (Optum Labs), Walmart, JPMorgan Chase.
Let the market normalize, in time those who got out of tech for whatever reason will flow back in. Other industries are garbage (retail, banking, insurance, manufacturing) are garbage compared to tech.
It's totally fine to seek employment elsewhere. Tech companies have so far shown to lack skills in budgeting. Other companies may show that but maybe next year or later since they don't pay engineers at much.
Why would I do that
Holy shit 0-60 real quick
