Blind, A cautionary tale to anyone considering Roku: - Applied for a Senior DevOps Engineer job on LinkedIn - Contacted by recruiter, told remote was approved for this position - Passed technical phone screen - Passed 4x round onsite - Accepted offer a few days ago - Same recruiter called today and said remote was not approved I’m a little irritated to say the least. Thankful I hadn’t resigned from my current job or canceled any upcoming interviews. If you’re hiring full remote and need a DevOps engineer let me know 🤷♂️ Update: 15 YOE TC: 200k Offer: 350k
Nice job 👍
Great post. Clear and straight to the point.

Roku has the worst hiring practices so far. I also saw most of the interviewers are dumb idiots
OP this was almost the perfect post but you didn't include your current TC and TC from Roku.
Fixed just for you kind sir/ma’am
Damn for that TC bump maybe it's worth just taking the job.
Good job

That’s dirty. Sorry to hear about that. I know remote is approved on an extremely limited basis. Sounds like your recruiter got bad info or was talking out of his/her ass.
Yeah I’m pretty bummed if only for the fact the engineers I interviewed with seemed like they would have been good coworkers.
Which group was this position for?
