You're posting this on blind, where half of the population are immigrants, have never been out of coastal CA, haven't suffered in areas like the Rust Belt or Deep South and have one purpose in life: bow down to the American Dream their home country thinks exists.
This video may as well be from another country to them. At the same time, the people identifying with the singer has no idea that we even exist or how the tech world functions.
It is pretty sad. We are shattered.
But to your actual point - we are part of the Rich Men from Richmond. Whether we are mega rich or not. We are their lackeys.
This is completely unaware and close minded take. You’re entitled to it. If you think you’re part of the ruling class I have a bridge to sell you. It’s not bowing to the American dream to say your dollar goes no where or you deserve to be able to eat. Did you post similar on posts about UPS getting a good deal for themselves; are they bowing to an imaginary dream? Imagine being the type of person whose company surely harps on DEI, bias, and things like “don’t paint people with a broad brush” and yet here you are doing just that. Instead of being happy you would have something in common with those from a different cross section of Society you end up immediately labeling them and trying to separate yourself as superior only to turn around and agree? Are you trying to play both sides and why comment then - it’s pretty sad. We are shattered.
There are layers. If you're on here worried about hitting 500k tc and buying an 800k+ house, you are not the same as them.
Get over it, because it has nothing to do with me agreeing with you or not. The sooner you can articulate that and work with it in these conversations, the sooner you can help.
What I hate is that immigrants have had better opportunities offered to them than our own right here in our country from areas like that guy
sings about.
We've given up on our own and are using other countries for the benefit of a few.
