Hi, I am currently on L2 with an EAD, and my spouse is on L1. Our visa is expiring in October 2024. My spouse's H1B got selected, and his company is filing for a change of status. I have one chance to apply for the H1B lottery in March 2024, but if it isn't selected, I am exploring options. Initially, I plan to convert from L2 to F1 and apply for day 1 CPT. However, due to our transition period, the attorney advised against leaving the country. I'm seeking advice on alternative options to continue working. Note: Spouse I-140 is still in process.
