Yes, primarily sales, and majority are outside the SSF area. This has been in the works since late last year, so it is not news to anyone at the company; I think most affected parties were informed well in advance.

Yes, this is part of the reorg to ecosystems model. I thought these cuts have been planned for a while now, perhaps it's only being announced now.

Yes, these were planned layoffs in the commercial space due to “transformation”, but let’s call it what it is, a re-org. These are not related to COVID

Yeah transformation has been a clusterfuck. Genentech is not what it used to be. Senior leaders creating jobs for themselves and blaming the dysfunction on everyone else, having them reapply for jobs.
