There is just too much to prepare and need perfection on everything to ace an interview for any good company. I have tried the leetcode route, trying to solve all questions for one topic at a time and then moving to another. Cannot seem to finish one topic, it just keeps going and if I leave it after doing few questions then I feel like I am not prepared enough. Any suggestions on preparation method to make it easier in terms of plan/approach/process ?
2sense: you can never be fully prepared nowadays. So choose your poison and fail fast. Like any computer system you develop, keep a balance in consistency and availability for the least. You can pass the top faangs provided you know just enough in fundamentals. One approach that helps understand the scope of the subject matter is going breadth first. You will get better with patterns and depth as you practice. Just keep moving fast. Also "good" company is a subjective term. Define your goals, you'll be surprised with the applicable and fulfilling options out there other than the golden fangs. Don't lose confidence on small samples.
Makes sense. Fail fast looks like a good place to start. I am not any fan of FANGs particularly. Just a good backend dev role with growth in knowledge & $$ would be good for me.
You don't want to do all of the questions for a single topic, usually 10-15 questiona for a single topic is enough.
In those 10-15 what should be the variation of easy medium and hard
So over all aim for 130 mediums, 40 hards and 50 easys. I think this will be more than enough, but you have to remember, it is the quality of the questions that count not the quantity. So you need to have a good normal distribution across the different topics. I think you might have more fun doing a round Robin with the topics, so you will be more efficient when going from one topic to the other.

Difficulty = easy, filter by frequency, do 50-100, then medium, then hard all sorted by frequency, complement this by studying almost any decent university’s DS/algo course for full coverage
thanks, any particular course that you might suggest.
