The man I love hates me because I’m Vietnamese
Anyone willing to refer at T-Mobile for a data engineer role? Thanks
My honest recommendation - stay away for now. Lots of bad changes happening- morale is gone. WLB going down… pay is still peanuts 🥜 The majority of my team is either interviewing or getting laid off. The only ones staying putt are the lazy or worthless people (in my team at least). Just my 2 cents.
You are worthless and disrespectful! TMO is still full of high-quality, competent people. Not everyone who stsys put is lazy or worthless.. Everybody has their own situations and career decisions! And the grass is not greener on the other side either... Your comment shows that you have no idea what's the market like right now. Stay quiet 🤫
iDJW61 we have a name for people like you at Meta 🥾👅
I also wouldn’t recommend it because lots of people were laid off so the internal process is set for these people to avoid paying severance. It’s not worth working here.
Yea I'm a product owner, been here 20 years. Moral is has never been this bad and pay far under market, even now. Lots of good people left but you would kind of walking into a bee hive. Most of the great leadership is leaving now and we are now getting stuck with some pretty bad leadership.
Wow the comments make me not want to apply. I'm at AT&T right now doing Data Engineering. 1 YOE. Just want more TC as I'm getting paid 🥜 for the work I'm doing.
I actually work in one of the ML group we just laid of some DS and DEs. We usually have this contractor company source them to us, usually from Logic2020 (contract removed so don’t apply entered) and unity consulting. You’ll also probably get paid peanuts here as well. Sorry if we sound super negative but we actually had the best record year and they turned around and laid off thousands calling it restructuring. There is no promotion process here either because the original one we had has been defunct since like 2021. You can only get promoted if you apply to another internal team with an open req and your manager will get wind of it IMMEDIATELY. Save yourself the headache, I wish someone told me about this when I applied here :/
Appreciate the honesty. Feels like just the telecom industry. Though I feel to switch soon because not only TC but work is becoming really hectic and I'm working with contractors who aren't really bright. I feel like I am a better programmer by miles compared to many people here and I'm so new
I work with some very smart and technical data teams solving very hard data problems. But those teams have hiring freeze currently.
Send me a message!
