I've got an offer from Apple and have decided to accept it and move to Austin. If you are living in Austin area and working for Apple, I'd appreciate sharing your experience. Which neighborhoods do you recommend? I want something that is not a long/terrible drive to work and also need a good school system for my kids. My target price is $480k-$550k. Thanks Edit: TC: 220k #engineering #software
Look at you bro, living it up buying homes and all. Congrats!

Cedar Park / Round Rock
Great hills
Doubt heāll get a SFH at that price in great hills
Round Rock. Small enough to not feel like a big city but big enough to have every amenity you need
If in Round Rock, remember to buy west of I-35. We bought at the all time high point and east of I-35. Commute has been a nightmare
Sounds like youāll be announcing Whisper Valley at Appleās next keynote. āIntroducing our greatest community ever ..ā
Most people who buy apple products have jobs at apple like companies or their parents do. You forgot - āitās 3 times thinner than the community we built last year. Thinner gates, thinner walls and super thin garage doors for every house.ā
Avery ranch or ranch&brushcreek
Fyi I make $270k and bought a $500k house and barely comfortable with my monthly payment due to $1k property tax each month. Do keep that in mind. Also donāt buy pioneer hill area or east of it, theyāre next to a landfill thatās about to expand
Which area did you buy? I can't find anything near 500k!!
Google bought the last one
Tc? Can't have low TC folks living in my neighborhood
