I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
Currently living in Seattle and planning to buy independent house in next 1 year. We are both working and don’t have kids right now but will probably have 1 kid in next 2 years. We are ok with not having good elementary school nearby as long as there is good private school. Good peaceful neighbourhood is preferred with good views. Closer to freeway ( like a mile) but far enough that there is no noise. From commute perspective not looking for more than an hour of commute from Seattle. How much should we budget for newer constructions (2016 onwards) in Redmond, Bellevue, Newcastle, Kirkland, Issaquah highlands and also what parts of bothell are good? We did try working with Redfin and private agents but realized they start losing patience quickly after few visits and then started convincing us that this is the best we can get when we could clearly see gaps in research. If you can share specific zip codes which might suite us, that will be awesome. Budget 2M TC -500 Household TC - 800
Oh don’t forget Mercer island, meets your criteria nicely as well
We did check mercer island. All the good ones are above 4M so way out of budget
Budget?
Was thinking 2M .
I literally did almost 200 tours with Redfin and this was during sellers market Agent won’t even get involved unless you tell the showing agent u r interested and to let agent know.
98033 or 98052 somewhere close to 520
Thanks
Get a real realtor that knows the areas
Ultimately we will but realtors prefer spending their energy on buyers who are in a hurry to buy asap.
I also want a newly build bad house that is close to a freeway with a great view and far from a freeway that costs 11 dollars lol.
I get you. Updated the question . Tell me which factors are achievable within 2M and which are totally impossible
The only one that matters is location, getting an older (and thus far superior house) is just a bonus.
You are asking for some contradictions, close to freeway + quiet, less than 1 hour commute plus views.. of course it exists but maybe 3-5 million for new construction. Check out Clyde hill, Medina, and Kirkland (98033.) great areas with what you want and your TC may support it depending on down payment.
Not extremely close to freeway. As long as freeway is accessible within 5-10 mins .
At your price point, you will need to make some trade offs. You can have close to freeway with less than 1 hour commute but no views and an older house. Or, new construction with views out in North Bend or faraway woodinville/Redmond. Remember the areas with good commutes have older houses because they’ve been popular a long time… so unless you have a lot of money a fixer upper is kind of what you get in those areas
