Need help evaluating L8 Senior Data Scientist Offer with Accenture

I received an offer from Accenture Federal for an L8 Senior data scientist position with the following: Base: 140k Signing Bonus: 5k Years of Experience: almost 5 years (1.5 in finance, 2.5 in consulting, and 0.5 in Tech) Is there more room to negotiate for higher pay? Any thoughts or feedback would greatly help. Thanks!

Current role? Seems like you are switching careers

Thanks for the response. Current role is Data Scientist at Amazon as an L4 hire. Base was 128k.

Not worth it to move for minuscule bump

It will be hard to pivot back to tech

That sounds terrible if you’re leaving Amazon and looking for Senior DS. No RSUs? Signing bonus is weak.

Please mercy on yourself and don't go to Accenture.

Put up a poll. Amazon to Accenture is a no go on paper and the bump is not huge unless you are getting the work you are looking for which I doubt is locked down yet.

To provide you insight we have lots of folks sitting on the bench waiting to be assigned a project (security). So don’t be surprised if you join Accenture and don’t have any work for 1-3 months. Keeping that in mind, Amazon to Accenture for that little of a bump? Not worth it. But let me ask what’s making you leave Amazon? Is it low pay? Work culture? Because Accenture is a hit or miss when it comes to hours/culture depending on the project you are assigned to. Pay isn’t up to par with market. Maybe try pushing for L7 $160k that would be somewhat reasonable. You got Amazon on your resume, don’t devalue yourself. Folks leave Accenture to Amazon. Not the other way around, unless it’s for a hefty amount of $$$$
