Need help transitioning from automation engineer to development
I am a automation engineer with 2 yrs of python experience. I am trying to move into more development specific roles. Due to my experience I am not getting calls for development roles. Any help or suggestions appreciated!

What kind of development work “excite” you? For me when I hear development work, I think about building infrastructure that people can build on, not so much the backend for a product. So think about this for yourself. Everyone’s is different.

Try hard to move to a dev role internally. And then stay there for a couple years and re apply. I did the same thing at my employer .
