#tech Hello everyone. I just got a mail confirmation of my selection in Adobe's Creative Cloud team. I need some inputs on what could be a good TC that I should be aiming at. I think I was initially considered for CS-2 grade. But I would like suggestions for both CS-2 and SCS. YOE: 9+ TC: 32 LPA (30.5 LPA fixed + 1.5 LPA bonus)
Check levels.fyi
Oh I forgot to mention this is for India location. Is the link still valid?
Yes. Try location specific. My friend recently got CS2. Her offer was 37 fix, 5 joining, ~120k $ rsus
Any competing offer you have? BTW are you okay to join retirement company at this point Remember you will have good wlb but growth and learning will be a bit less By the way congrats
No competing offers yet, but hoping I'll get some good news from Intuit in a week or two.
Great all the best. Do share here on blind for community Congrats bro
Adobe doesn't bargain much. They have fixed bands and stick to it.
Right. Noted. But, then given my current yoe and tc, what would you try to get, if u were in my situation? I'm just trying to get pointers
Around 35 L base, 15% AIP bonus, 80-100 k usd stocks. This is going to be your first verbal offer.
Right. Thanks.
If you don't mind can u just brief us on how the interviews were structured...rounds .. questions..etc
Sure. Round - 1: A very basic DSA question of mirroring a binary tree. Then, mostly current project description. Previous interesting project description. A strategic question on how would you go on about a project which is stable and accepted on one arch, let's say windows/mac, but now business needs it to be ported to Linux. What all challenges do you foresee in such a project, and how would you plan such a project, in general. Round 2 : a matrix grid, DP optimization problem, a variation of unique paths from top left start to bottom right end. How would you ensure safe handling of concurrency when there are multiple varying number of producers, and varying number of consumers. How would you do it in a way where there's least headache for thread management on the clients (both producers and consumers). Imagine you are writing the infrastructure for such a communication, a library. Round 3 : Implementation of some common low level memory related functions, like memmove, memcpy, etc. How would you do project estimations, etc. Round 4 : An array traversal problem, based on an equation. The clue will be in the description of the problem which will have a kind of equation of relationship between cells and their indices. Based on that, figure out valid pairs of indices that satisfy the given condition in the problem statement. Hint: pay close attention to equations given in a problem statement, if they are given that is. They are given in the form of equations for a reason. Then a kind of a miniature design question. How would you gracefully handle multiple concurrent access and usage of one or a handful of shared resource in a multi threaded application, e.g. in a thread pool. You need to ensure data integrity, and should not allow corruption. Think about a share queue between multiple task processing threads. How would handle locking and unlocking of the queue if one thread gets abruptly chucked out of cpu, still holding the lock, let's say. Director Round : Basically a nothing round. Use this as a tool to get more insights into the project, into the domain, the vision of the project, the scope of work, try to figure out your own role from it. The end.
Thats good level of detail, OP. Nice loops as well. A bit too concurrency based. Is the target team dealing with concurrent data structures a lot? Did you get an idea of HM’s charter?
@sensei : I don't have too much of an info about the low level stuff right now. Only thing that I sensed was they must have a lot of work managing their local clients and web servers. And sensing Adobe's product suite, it only makes sense that their local clients will be heavy and would he resource intensive. And since these softwares usually are guided ones where a user does something and gets feedback real time, data integrity must also be of paramount importance. That's what I sensed from their questionnaire.
OP what was the offer that you got ?
Offer details please
I'm thinking of asking 50LPA fixed and 30LPA RSU. Is that too far fetched or a fair ask, or can I try to pull in more in RSU's?
This reads out more of SCS1 / CS3 Tc.
I thought so. But then where can I expect CS-2 figures to start plateauing?
