yoe? Post resume
8 YOE, I am working in a restaurant because I was applying for 3 months and not a single interview and for me I need to make money and don’t want to wait for results. I am working while trying to get a job to keep me afloat for a little longer
@op try to include dbt in your resume and resume should be ATS comparability let
Get a security clearance. It will open up DoD jobs
You don't get a security clearance, an employer has to sponsor you. Try clearancejobs.com, OP. There are companies that will sponsor you and you often can be granted an interim clearance in 6-8 weeks
What can you do to keep cutting expenses?
I am a citizen of the US and all and I mean all of my expenses are cut. I spend 50 every 2 weeks on groceries and walk when I can. I have to pleasure expenses and sold my ps4 and switch and tv to get enough for rent
How do you spend 55k a year then? Is that all housing?
Are you willing to relocate? You probably also need to improve your resume (and maybe LinkedIn). Do not limit your job search to your area or remote. You could potentially make even more if you are willing to relocate
DM for google referral, I hope your life turns around.
Hope OP lands a job soon and gets out of this. Can I dm you too for a referral? Thanks!
So after taxes, it is $41,800 of a salary. My rent is $2,100 a month so that is $25,200 so now I have $16,600 Car: $334 a month or $4008 Food: $200 a month or $2400 Gas:$250 a month or $3000 Subscriptions: $65 a month or $780 Insurance: $154 a month or $1,848 Internet and electricity: $165 or $1980 $2584 left over for savings, out to eat and other things for the year or $215 a month
You need to start getting ahead of the situation man. - Take out a personal loan ($20k-$40k) - Apply for new credit cards and increases - Use credit cards for daily expenses Don't worry about your credit tanking. It literally doesn't matter and you can repay it in the future.
Your car (+gas +insurance) is over 20% of your take home. That's a huge amount. You said you walk occasionally, so just shift to that and transit full time. Sell your car. You'll have the cash from that and $8k per year more free. You can use some of that 8k for a good cheap bike, transit pass, or the occasional carshare car (like gig car).

It literally doesn't matter and you can repay it in the future. Also start mass applying to jobs on LinkedIn. Make sure your resume align with their reqs & skillset. Update your resume so it matches and looks relevant. - It's okay to slightly edit job title on the resume/LI to make it more relevant, so long as it isn't a complete fabrication Also! - Add "Referrals needed, shitty situation" in the title. Many of us understand what you're going thru.
How much are you making in the restaurant job? I assume you are a US citizen in LCOL area? Why do you feel your time is ticking if there are no visa issues and you have a job (even though it pays lower than your data analyst job)?
From context I assume they run out of money for necessities because expenses exceed income
They live paycheck to paycheck
