Need suggestion: Leave or stay
Hi! Itโs really frustrating these days looking at my stock account compared with my other friends in SNAP, FB and STRIPE. My manager told me I could get a promotion in the middle of 2021 to T5. Should I wait and fight for promotion or just leave the company. Edits: I like my team but not the entire org. The work is not interesting and not exciting. I feel my org is messy in many different ways. TC base 160k, stock 60k/year , level: T4 YOE, 4 #tech #lyft #career

I like your reply. Thank you! I know my post really focused a lot in TC and that would lead people to think I am TC-driven. I acknowledge that it is a big factor but I am also afraid of the uncertainty of the future.

Besides stock - do you like the work? Do you like the people? Is it meeting the needs you have during covid/WFH? Without knowing more about your situation, any votes are not going to be that helpful. Unless you're part of the tc or gtfo crowd.

With that, I voted leave. You can find good people at most companies, but if you don't like the work and the org is chaotic, you might as well see what's out there to find something that meets more of your goals (including comp).
