Peaceful Protest Hasn’t Worked and Has Been Met With Aggression.
Hey Blind fam, Looking for some advice on how best to progress my career. I recently started with Slalom consulting (tech consulting firm) but know that I will not stay here forever. I want to use my time here to develop my skillset for my next transition. I have a background in operations and project management, and think that maybe TPM would be a good option given that my skillset gained with slalom and previous career would be directly relevant. Wanted to hit up the community to get some ideas on other potential roles in tech with decent pay (250 - 300k ish) My priority is good work life balance above all else. What did you get hired on as at Slalom? I'm currently closing the interview loop and am wondering if I low-balled myself.
Feel free to dm me
Hop on projects that will serve your benefits at Slalom - say no to the ones that don't interest you.
I would say talk to other TPMs that you know (assuming technical program managers) and see what the role entails and If you like it. It's mostly working with developers, engineering, product and management. Other option is to look at product management. You will get a better sense once you speak to a few people and start interviewing
