Companies do not have proper interviews anymore. Since the pandemic and resulting wide adoption of video calls, they schedule individual interviews in sequence. So you will have one interview one week and then another interview a few days later or a week later or sometimes weeks later. We have seemingly moved away from the standard 2 round format when you had a call with hiring manager and then, went on site for multiple interviews on the same day before the offer. Just before the pandemic, I had an onsite interview where they even put me on a conference call on site with a team member who was not in office that day. Today, that interview could be scheduled days or even a week later. Now, it's not clear what round I'm in with companies I'm interviewing with. They don't seem to think about what that does to the candidate. I literally don't know what round I'm in with companies I'm interviewing with. How many more interviews to go etc... It's a mess out here.
I have been told about the number of rounds ahead of time every time so far. Ngl it’s annoying but it is what it is.
Recently interviewed at Snowflake, the recruiter was not kind enough to let me know all interview details. I had to ask our, interview will be based on what? How many rounds are there?
This is how to do it, just ask the fucking recruiter. OP apparently can't figure out the words "Please walk me through the interview process so I understand what to expect from your company"
Why don't you schedule back to back interview with different companies with same profile? Overall, I kind of like this approach. It kind of drags the things but one bad day won't mean interview is finished. It's like cricket test match where conditions can vary.
