Has anyone here negotiated their job title upon getting an offer? Probably less relevant to engineers; but I’m not talking about like software engineer vs senior software engineer. I’m talking about like: “business operations associate” to “business operations analyst”
Yes, several times, but my titles have been in tech/management roles.
Can you give an example of a title change? And was it something you had to fight for or was it pretty easy
Head for L7 is a common one that you can negotiate
Yes for "Head of" Engineering Director vs R&D Engineering Director And so on...
If you play well you might be able to negotiate “Senior Software Engineer” instead of “Sr Software Engineer”.

Cute girl on the floor
Curious to know what difference would that actually make in your job?
Nothing for the actual job. Very little difference overall. Job titles are job titles. But I’m just wondering if I do have a preference, if it would be a big deal at all to bring it up.
