Is Israel getting bad PR the reason for banning tik tok?
How do I negotiate with Amazon? I do have an offer in hand (and they sped up the process because of it) but it’s no where near what Amazon will offer for L6 TAM. How do I phrase it to the recruiter to bump up whatever he comes back with today? Help! TC: $155K
Get a higher offer than Amazon, and then ask them to match?
Right, but what if I can’t get a higher offer than Amazon?
Then Amazon offer it is. Only way to negotiate is to ask nicely for an extra 5k or so but your options are limited.
First, make to show strength and earn the amazon employee’s respect. Demonstrate that you have exploited or abused a blue collar worker in some manner. Pictures of exhausted laborers or bruises really sell this home. Second, raise your posture and put your hands in the air - you want to appear larger than you are. Third, reference an amazon leadership principle in a low voice, and use aggressive intonation. The amazon employee is more scared of you, than you are of them! Finally, make your offer, while maintaining eye contact. Do not blink. Show a plastic bottle full of urine to sell your resolve, but this is critical: do not at any time blink or break eye contact or even speak. Let the amazon employee respond first.
Thanks man
I am kinda sick of blind fam not responding to the question asked by OP. This shit commenting has exponentially increased in the last few months
Yeah, I love trolling myself but I’m just trying to get some advice! I’m new to all this
They never offer 100% top of band so there is always room to negotiate, right? Also, they invested a ton in you and teams need to hire. They have hiring goals. Other teammates ask when the new hire is starting, etc. You can just straight up tell them a number a bit higher and say if they can do that, you'll accept the offer and withdraw your other applications. Tell them you have final rounds with other companies but Amazon is your first choice and you're ready to accept and withdraw from the others if they meet your request. Better if that story is true, hence why you want to play the field a bit.
Ok! Thanks. Yes, I was thinking of saying, “hey thanks, if we could get to XYZ, I’ll accept immediately.” Because I do have other offers (even though they’re much lower)
Yup just do that, it will work for something highly likely
Congratulations 🥳
Thank you!
