Well this is fun. Offer in hand from Google. FB just called and said they are putting together an offer. Anything I should know about negotiating with FB? Are levels negotiable? What part of the package has the list negotiating freedom?
Congrats on becoming rich
congratulations, that's a good problem to have!
Try to work it out with FB. It's great there.
tell zuckerburger you won't work for him if the offer is anything less than 5.5mil, works every time
Level negotiation is tough. But, salary bands are hella wide. There's no reason you can't get comp like the next level.
Was in the same situation a few years ago. At the time, G was very keen to hire anyone who could potentially go to Facebook. I used their counter to get Facebook to raise its offer a bit. G indicated I could name my price but FB was where I wanted to go and am very glad I did.
What were your offers?
This was 5+ years ago. FBs initial offer was $150k, $300k pre-iPO RSUs (@$30/share) and no signing bonus. G started with a bigger salary and similar RSU amount + $30k signing bonus but didn't give me a written offer because they wanted me to tell them what I wanted and they would try to make that happen. I told FB I wanted 2x equity only but they came back with +$30k signing bonus and bumped RSUs to $420k. I wanted to go there anyway so I took it.
Please share your offer

How negotiable are new grad offers?
As a new grad, the sign on bonus cash is super easy to negotiate, the rsus are flexible, they won't budge on salary (from my experience)
Negotiate like a boss!
