Hi everyone! I received an offer from Spotify in Stockholm for a Product Manager (base: 660K SEK, no bonus, incentive mix: $77,000 USD). I would be relocating from the United States and realize that involves an adjustment in terms of base salary expectations, but the role is very aligned with my interests, Spotify has been a wish list company for me, and my partner and I would be excited about living in Stockholm. My concern about taking the offer centers on the base salary and whether I can negotiate it up to something that will be more inline with expectations. To sum up my thoughts: - I would like to negotiate my base salary. Does anyone have suggestions for doing this at Spotify? - Does anyone have any recommendations or thoughts on living in Stockholm? - Does anyone have any experience transferring internally at Spotify? Current: YOE: 3 (product management), 9 (product area) Current TC: $120K USD (United States) Thanks! #pm #productmanager
Would you mind sharing the turnaround time after an on-site? I just finished my on-site and wonder when I will know the decision.
It was fairly fast, about 3-4 days.
Thanks! Did the recruiter ask about your salary expectations after your wrap-up with the HM too? I wonder if that's a good sign or just a normal procedure. Did you end up negotiating the offer? Curious to know how it went.
You can always at least try to negotiate (and you should). It's best to do it with another offer. Stockholm is very safe, cold, and everyone's english is fantastic. Taxes are high af but the services people get for them are top notch. Enjoy
