“Netflix will combine units that produce small and midsize pictures, a change that will result in a handful of layoffs and the departure of two of its most experienced executives. Lisa Nishimura, who led Netflix into standup comedy and original documentaries, will depart after more than 15 years at the company. She is presently responsible for documentaries and smaller-budget films. “ https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-03-31/netflix-restructures-film-group-as-it-scales-back-movie-output Doesn’t look it affects tech and more on production side but don’t quote me on it.
Don't see anything having to do with layoffs. Nice fear-mongering.
Bloomberg says in article there will be “handful of layoffs” after this restructuring
Sounds more like targeted firings than layoffs especially after a restructuring. I mean the same thing happened at MassMutual dude
wow great, literally the only two things I watch Netshit for - standup and documentaries.
Netflix is in a constant state of restructuring, and has been that way for a decade before the market crashed. This is unrelated to all the layoff trends, it's just a restructuring to improve efficiency based on evolving business needs.
There have been silent layoffs at Netflix but in small numbers as some teams were shut down It wasn’t released to media tho
