Friend works there. Apparently Netflix is internally blaming the Love is Blind fiasco on AWS.
Are people actually watching this shit? Got to the 4th episode this season and had to pull the cord, 0 stars
** never thought I’d see the day where a “dating show” made The Bachelor look like must see TV
Idk, my girlfriend used to play it in the background while I worked on side-projects and I inadvertently got hooked. I think it works better as background TV until the last few episodes where you’re invested
What happened?
Live stream was scheduled for 5pm. First they tweeted it would start 15m late, then cancelled it all together after 1 hour.
AWS is blaming it on Netflix
Where's our popcorn?
Netflix run most of their streams on their own infra, and use AWS only for specific things. They’ll quickly learn from this and make sure it never happens again, I’m sure
Didn't they decommission their data centers long back?
n0ty is correct, data centers closed around 6 years ago.
Page the managers!
This is such a public embarrassment. NFLX gonna open in red tomorrow. So much for the tech prestige in one business that you were supposed to be knowing what you’re doing.
I’d be more surprised if people actually gave up their weekend to watch this
Switch to azure. I work here so you don’t have to worry. 😎
Yeah azure has way less outages than AWS 😂
Azure makes the status is green despite outages
I mean they’re probably right
We could search for it if we want to
