What is the typical duration of the hiring process in Netflix, from beginning to getting an offer? Thanks
It can go very fast if it needs to, but normally only a couple weeks. If you decide to delay the interview that is also possible.
And how many rounds? What does a typical process look like?
A phone screen or two, on site is at least three tech rounds, one hiring manager, two HR, and one VP. Some teams give a coding exercise before the onsite in lieu of a phone screen.
Oh and candidates in the area, at least for my org, have the option of splitting it over two half days if they want. It helps with people who have family obligations or other things that would otherwise prevent them from doing a full day interview.
My experience: Hiring manager phone screen Technical phone screen Onsite 1: 2 tech, 1 coffee, 1 recruiter, 1 hiring manager rounds Onsite 2: 1 HRBP, 2 VPs End to end was about 3 weeks. I got my offer 3 days after second onsite.
2 phone screens with a recruiter, one with a hiring manager, one technical phone screen, another ps with a director. In a few days got on-site.
Can you describe the on site?
I am about to be promoted to SDE3 at amazon. Once the promo is approved, Am I likely senior enough to be considered a role at Netflix?
you don’t have to wait for promotion, but take that if you are close, makes it easier to come back 😉
Do you mind sharing how long will it take to get to sde3?
Its very fast, could be easily completed in 2 weeks.
