Spouse says Netflix stock is down because they are injecting LGBTQ characters into thier shows forcefully. He sincerely thinks forcing LGBTQ characters is affecting the screen play and making the shows bad, and that conservative parents won't let thier kids watch Netflix, hence revenue and stock drop. I mean the quality has definitely gone downhill apart from it. I don’t even think it’s a political thing, but roughly 85-90% of the population is straight. So making shows 50-50 doesn’t make any sense. Im not offended by it but we watch shows oftentimes to relate to them. And I cant relate as well to two dudes making out.

No not a random one but Netflix has gone a little overboard. Also, sometimes the plot does appear forced. Just let the characters naturally be gay. I thought Stranger Things did that well. Euphoria on HBO Max is a good example. Even the straight people were banging trannies. It was just completely unrelatable.

Netflix was over valued to begin with. Then it was more over valued because of lack of competition. Then it was triple over valued because the pandemic stay at home and binge watching routine. All those things are over. Netflix has a lot of competition in streaming now. People are not stuck at home binge watching all the time. And Netflix has market saturation now. The stock reflects that reality check

I definitely think it's a factor. Blind is a bit of an echo chamber. I cancelled Netflix over Cuties, and I'm tired of LGBT content in kids shows. Just cancelled Disney+ for the same reason. It's really simple. Leave my kids out of it. I don't care what grown ups do.
Man, you're right. My kids only get access to asexual content. I don't want them to know adults have relationships. Can you imagine how much that'd screw them up? My wife and I are just "friends" to my kids too. Oh, and my brother recently announced to the whole family, IN FRONT OF MY KIDS, that him and his wife were having a baby. Like, god, keep your bedroom happenings to yourself!! How am I supposed to explain THAT to my kids? Pervert groomers!!

Personally I think Netflix content is too woke, overserving costal elites and underserving middle America. Netflix can certainly use content like Yellowstone. But wokeism isn't the main issue that Netflix is down.
