Lol not at all

Im glad I sold netflix. Their contents are pretty weak, depending on the contracts they can sign. A lot of good movies come and go. Music industry realizes it canā€™t beat any existing players so they are more inclined to sign streaming with spotify, youtube music and apple music. TV and entertainment giants see the opposite. While Netflix will continue to have its massive user base, it is hanging on a thin thread. Entertainment industry can simply pull the plug after the contractor is done and Netflix has empty inventory.

Love, Death, & Robots.. thatā€™s about all they really got at this point

They even killing their own original content. Those werenā€™t so bad to be honest but the theme is so repetitive. Usually the magical superhero theme.

I'm not sure :/ I don't get why people would pay for live TV shows when there's on demand. And while I get the gist for sports, not sure why someone can't live stream on a free site. :/ and if you want to pay, why you wouldn't buy a pass directly from the Content provider like ESPN plus

The main argument in the article is - people will have to subscribe to Disney+ to watch avengers and toy story. And thatā€™s ok. But what is the problem of having both Disney and Netflix subscriptions? Netflix still has a lot of amazing content. Why giving it up? Just have both and just pass on two extra lattes a month.

Microsoft MSFTBRO May 21, 2019

I predict Disney is going to run out of new content fairly quickly and it will lose subscribers and then will learn.

While I agree Disney content is popular and will draw a lot of families to subscribe, author of this article is a known NFLX shorter, posting these kind of articles all the time, eg. https://seekingalpha.com/amp/instablog/47761564-stephen-mcbride/5229866-5-reasons-netflix-dead-stock-s-buy-instead

Netflix LoveDeathR May 21, 2019

HBO has existed for decades, and beat the shit out of Disney in scripted TV content. That's a fact. And linear TV has no tech barrier. Now Disney+ is supposed to kill Netflix with no tech background, 150M subscriber gap, much lower budget? What are you smoking?

Accenture ehfhakdjf May 21, 2019

^ agree on this. their tech actually came from Bamtech acquisition. the engineering team ramped up just last year and still building stuff. they don't have any recommender systems yet. if you like challenge. disney+ is a good place to gain experience

Howā€™s their pay and benefit tho? They give out RSUā€™s?
