Netflix looks to have content with better user ratings Disney has better critical reviews/magazine hype reviews Prime video has a lot of average content Prime Video is getting stale, when was the last time you were excited with content on PV? For me it was Boys and the upcoming Tom Clancy show.
Content is commodity. Eventually all streaming apps will have a few hits and many mediocre shows, on an ongoing basis. The question is who will aggregate all the apps and their content?
The Voyeurs movie is on Prime
HBO
Netflix has the best catalogue of all major streaming apps. The ONLY thing Netflix cannot get right is re-watch value. Every year Netflix makes bangers but people never go back and watch them again so we need to make more new bangers which costs us billions. In order for Netflix to really reign supreme, it needs to continue making hits each quarter AND create a franchise that people want to watch over and over again. - friends - the office - its always sunny - fresh price - insecure - family guy/american dad/Cleveland show/ futurama / simpsons - sex and the city Netflix needs franchises/re-watchable series because they will keep people subscribed for those shows without having to rely as much on megahits each quarter. If you look at it through that lens, the only real competition is Disney. They have the best franchises in the world: marvel, disney princesses, star wars. They built that portfolio over decades. You ask a four year old who they want to be and its likely a disney princess or marvel hero. That builds a fanbase at a young age. Where they struggle is with adults.
Prime just for Indian and Indian regional content . Other 2 don’t have much
Prime in India is a hit or miss sometimes. They've overspent on a lot of trash content, because they have a few hits from time to time (which they way overpaid) people forget the volume
Hulu has great Indian content too because of hotstar .
