Which company has harder interviews? I’m considering moving to Netflix but not sure how much to study… 🫠 TC: 400k YOE: 5
Snap is wayy harder. Netflix interviews are generally around problems that folks deal with in their day to day lives. Mostly no Leetcode
Snap is way harder.
Snap is just leetcode. You can grind that in a couple of months. Netflix interviews are team dependent and ime test on experience. There’s still some leetcode.
Be one with the culture deck
Depends on what mood the interviewer is in that day
Netflix will almost surely be better for you financially and help you FIRE faster. But they are immensely more stressful to work for, if you managed SNAP you can manage Netflix interview wise but i wouldn't consider them a long term employment
Lol you don’t seem to know about the current working conditions at Snap. We have long working hours with stretched goals, and a quarterly performance review system. No other companies have quarterly reviews but Snap.
Also pretty wrong again Netflix will be better financially. Netflix TC is all cash, while Snap is heavily stock based. I joined the company when stock was around $11, now it’s $16-$18, so I’m actually making half a million a year. Those who joined when stock was at $7 are also making bags. You won’t see much upside with Netflix package though they pay top market for sure
Recruiters mentioned Snap interview is role based. Like full stack is not leetcode , can be front end heavy. Any insights on what to focus more
