Got offers from all three, comparable pay (Apple’s offer is a bit lower on paper but it’s hourly so I get overtime). SWE in all, but HW org at Apple. All in Bay Area. Feel free to comment with any insights and comparisons. The feeling I get is that G/FB look a tad better on a resume. I wouldn’t know my team until after I signed for both of them, which could be a downside. What’s better for learning/growing as an engineer as well as optimizing for career growth in the long term?
TC for each of them is?
Are you a software engineer or an electrical engineer ? Trying to understand how to get both sw and hw jobs at the same time.
Software Engineer. The role at Apple is SWE in a team in the HW org
Do you mind sharing the salary / stock / signing bonus for the offers?
Thinking back as a new grad. If I had to choose again, I would choose Apple. I went to G first and then FB. Both were a-okay, nothing exciting. Apple will offer challenging work, which should be the focus as a new grad, not TC.
What is teledyne tech ?
You’re a returning intern but they only gave you 130? Negotiate and tell them you have 2 offers at 170.
Working on that this week! Thanks for the advice
What did you decide on finally?
If it’s HW, go for Apple - for SW, google should be a better bet
It’s a SWE role on a team under Dan
Did your team match happen at Google yet? Any ideas what do they do?
