New Grad Offer Evaluation

Hello, I got full time return offer from internship at prop trading firm in Chicago. Offer is: - 150k base - 50k signing - 20k expected first year bonus Recruiter said second year bonus expected to jump to 60-70k so probably wont be much of a dip if any. Is it worth to keep looking for better offers? I’ve only had two internships so far (the other at a startup) and I’ll be graduating in December, so won’t be able to get much more experience in. I know its a decent offer, but I’ve heard that Citadel offers 150k + 150 signing + 100k bonus for new grads, so my offer isn’t quite at the top. Would FANG be able to offer better compensation? Do other prop firms pay more? Also important to note that I have pretty limited experience since this is only my third year of school.

Which company?

Optiver? If so, I'm pretty sure that's better than any FANG. Other prop shops might pay more but you're staring at a 220k guaranteed offer. Id take it and enjoy senior year waving my 200k dick around

Nah not Optiver, but very similar.

Don’t believe the recruiter. As long as it is not written.

Fang likely won't pay as much, but wlb may be better. Prop firms can be brutal .

Always worth looking for other offers. Absolute worst case you’re back where you started.
