New Grad in Redmond, where to live?
Hey guys, I am starting at the Meta Redmond office in a month and need to find housing ASAP. I have been doing a lot of research but I wanted to hear more opinions from people in the field. My goal is Financial independence as soon as possible so I would like to minimize cost while keeping a good wfh environment. Relevant info: -I have a car (on its last legs) -I have a partner (don’t care much about clubbing) -Budget of 2500 on a 1 bedroom (partner moving in later) -I need good commute -I want to make friends -I like to go camping and hunting -There is an mma gym I’m eyeing in Seattle What areas in the East side would you recommend? Bellevue vs Redmond vs Kirkland? As a 21 y/o is not choosing Seattle dumb?

Kirkland downtown or 98033 but might have to push that budget a bit. Bellevue downtown with a much bigger budget.

Not choosing Seattle is... odd but understandable. Try Bellevue but you might get fomo very fast

I enjoyed downtown Bellevue. It’s super clean, quiet, and very walkable. There are a few bars but overall it is dead at night, however the downtown bus stop can take you right to Seattle. Most apartments also have parking. I would check if Meta has a shuttle from Seattle to the office. If that’s the case I would just live in Seattle and sell your car.
This seems like the best bet from what I’m gathering, praying they have a shuttle. Thank you!

I think so. Everything is dead by like 8pm and mostly older families live there.
Bellevue is nice
If you’re talking the willows road office, Bellevue and Redmond are the best bets. Kirkland is fine, but you have to deal with 405.

Bellevue downtown if you absolutely want to stay on the eastside. Otherwise capital hill is better for anything social.
