At Amazon, tshirt, hoodie, a hat were all appropriate. I've even see shorts and flipflops and nobody really cared. I start a new job at Starbucks next month. How well do folks dress in the SSC?
OP, how did you get in? I’ve been applying for Starbucks for months with no bites!
Do you have a referral? Also while they hire quite a bit from Amazon you have to be cautious not to come off as TOO Amazonian (including in your resume).
I don’t have a referral, I’ve been reaching out to recruiters on LinkedIn and I haven’t received any responses
Tc, Yoe?
Depends on role, below director a tshirt or hoodie is fine unless you are up on exec floors
The dress code is very casual in the technology org. You'll see lots of shorts on warm days.
Agreed, when I visit I never feel any pressure to dress a certain way. My team wears whatever they want unless there is an event or a special meeting where you’d expect to dress up a little.
I’m a former Amazonian but I’ve been at Starbucks for 6 years and the dress code is pretty much the same even when my team was on the same floor as the CEO/ELT. Since the pandemic I’ve rolled into the office in head to toe Athleta from time to time and I’ve gotten more compliments than feedback.
Very chill. No one cares, laid back culture and good pay / work balance compared to Amazon

you’re not remote? Everyone i know at Starbucks is remote
From what I understand HQ employees are expected 3 days a week but it is very loosely enforced.
I am remote, but I know there is a preference to not hire remote employees since RTO. I started a couple years ago and the whole interview to offer was nearly 4-5mo
