I was assigned a user story that I didn't question since I'm a new hire. I week into the sprint, I realized I have to continue he was doing before he left (which is out of the scope of my assignment/team) in order to complete my user story. I graduated with my undergrad only a few months ago, is this normal? If anyone has had a similar experience please let me know what the best course of action is. TC: π₯ YEO: 0
Grind
There should have been a handoff or context transfer to you. Or work on other stuff until he is back. Donβt use it as an excuse to slack
Not normal. Wtf??
Ask your manager what to do. They will most likely have an answer.
Itβs ok to face this being new in industry. Going forward plz ensure you have all you need to complete the tasks as soon as your team locks the sprint.
