What happens when most of your team is Indian?
I'm pretty happy here at GS but am thinking whether for my next career step I should continue looking at finance companies or look into tech companies. I know the answer is to apply for both, but I think that since my previous job was at an I-bank most likely I will get offers from banks first. My fear is that if I continue working for banks I won't be able to make the switch to tech in the future? Should I just apply to tech companies first?
TC at GS ? Once you see the TCs flying here at tech companies you will probably forget GS. And let’s not even get started about GS WLB. Banks suck
Team dependent but on average you’re right. I’ve seen people get pay bumps before going from FAANG to GSET. But it’s probably rare.
In the long term it will always be much lesser , for a worse job in general
You’ll probably be fine in terms of moving into tech whenever unless you’re super deep in the Slang stack or some shit. You can apply to trading firms too, which are almost always more tech friendly than banks. Btw how’s Mike Blum as CTO for GSET?
