Hi Folks, I have around 6 years of experience in full stack development using .net (framework and core), angular 2+, jQuery and similar front end stack. I am really confused on my next career path. Can some one guide me on choosing my next career path. I am quite confused on whether to extend my skillset in the current tech stack as mentioned above and dive into cloud technologies. It would be a great help if some one share their expertise. #engineer #it #career #guidance
I am also in the same boat.
Front end - react or vue Backend - node, python, ruby, go, literally anything but .net Stay up to date with developer surveys on what popular tools are being used.
Thank you very much :) . With open source .net in place, I thought the scope has increased in the market. Looks like its the same. I will start immediately on some of the mentioned skills
Just add Azure services to your skill set and you should be fine. .Net is here to stay for very long. You do not have to worry about other tech stack. Azure with .Net and Angular/React is pretty good skill set to have
This tech stack is basically becoming obsolete, learn new skills ASAP
Thanks for the input. I am planning on learning new skills but not sure if sticking around to .net would be helpful or completely switch to a new tech stack like python or java. Can you please provide your thoughts on the same :)
